Tunis - The National Olive Oil Board of Tunisia has just opened its international training centre, with the support of the IOC Council of Members. This is the first training centre on the southern shore of the Mediterranean and a point of influence on an interregional and international scale for the olive sector. With the support of various Tunisian and international institutions, including the IOC, the CIHEAM, the University of Jaén, the GIZ and the FAO, the new centre boasts state-of-the-art procedures manuals and equipment that will allow it to provide specific thematic training courses on the olive sector. The Executive Director attended the inauguration of the centre and congratulated the ONH team for this achievement, which will contribute to the development of knowledge on the quality of olive oil, and affirmed the IOC’s willingness to discuss future areas of collaboration.
