Madrid – The Executive Secretariat of the International Olive Council announces that the deadline for submissions to the international Mario Solinas quality competition for extra virgin olive oil, in its single 2018 edition for both hemispheres, is extended until 27 February 2018. The Mario Solinas Award selects extra virgin olive oils submitted by individual producers, associations of producers and packers from all over the world that display the best overall organoleptic characteristics. This is the most coveted international recognition in this domain, creating intense competition among candidates and rewarding quality in extra virgin olive oil.
