The 58th meeting of the Advisory Committee takes place today, 7 June, in Amman, Jordan. The meeting of representatives of the entire global oil industry will open the 115th session of the Council of Members on 8 June.
Meetings of the Advisory Committee, the Council of Members and the international seminar organised by the Jordanian authorities will be held both virtually and in person at the Movenpick Hotel in Amman.
The Jordanian authorities have also organised a technical visit to the Ajloun governorate to visit, among other things, one of the olive-growing districts that boasts some of the oldest olive groves in the world.
The Advisory Committee is a key go-between for the Council of Members. It was set up to voice the views of business circles and to use their practical knowledge to help the Executive Secretariat find effective solutions to problems in the sector.
