The Mario Solinas Quality Award competition, organised every year by the IOC since the 2000/01 crop year and in accordance with a decision adopted by its Council of Members in 1993, aims to reward the best extra-virgin olive oils.
You can now take part in the 24th edition of the Mario Solinas Quality Award competition for the quality of extra virgin olive oils from northern hemisphere countries.

Samples and the required documents must be sent to the IOC Executive Secretariat, Calle Príncipe de Vergara 154, 28002 Madrid, Spain, before 14 February 2024.
The aim of the Mario Solinas competition is to recognise and promote the best extra virgin olive oils. This prestigious prize rewards producers, producer associations and packers for their efforts aimed at guaranteeing extra virgin olive oils with exceptional organoleptic characteristics.
By honouring products with unique attributes, the IOC seeks to consolidate the application of quality standards, encourage innovation and strengthen consumer confidence in the superior quality of extra virgin olive oils worldwide.
