On 19 July, the IOC Executive Secretariat received a visit from the Attaché for Agricultural Affairs for Spain and Portugal of the Regional Economic Department of the Embassy of France in Spain, Jérôme Frouté, who represents the French Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and, in that capacity, conducts monitoring, analysis, exchange and communication activities in relation to these areas. The visit was an opportunity for him to meet the new IOC Senior Management team, Mr Ghedira, the Executive Director, and Mr Lillo and Mr Sepetçi, who both entered into office as Deputy Directors at the beginning of the month. Mr Frouté expressed his interest in the activities of the IOC and in the initiatives that the Organisation plans to develop in upcoming months. He drew attention to the production of high-quality olive oil and table olives in France and the growing interest among French consumers in olive products.
