Madrid – Alongside the 110th session of the Council of Members (Madrid, 25-29 November 2019), Mr Abdelbaset Ghanimi, the Minister of Agriculture of Libya, met with Mr Abdellatif Ghedira, the Executive Director of the IOC, to discuss the role of the organisation, the world olive sector and support mechanisms for developing the Libyan olive sector.
A working meeting was held with the Head of the Technology and Environment Unit on the progress of the collaboration agreement between Libya and the IOC which was signed in 2018 to set up quality control laboratories and establish the technical conditions for the successful development of the olive sector.
