According to the first estimates of the 2020/2021 crop year, extra-EU exports of table olives reached 320 829 tonnes for an estimated value of €868.1 million (+8.6% and +4.6% respectively compared to the previous crop year). In November of the 2021/2022 crop year, the unit value of extra-EU exports stood at €281 per 100kg (+2.4% compared to the previous month).
Spanish exports of table olives reached 306 188 tonnes in the 2020/2021 crop year for an estimated value of €732.7 million, placing it in first place followed by Greece with 191 965 tonnes and €551.4 million; Portugal with 29 996 tonnes and €43.8 million; and Italy with 28 474 tonnes and €94.8 million.
In the 2020/2021 crop year, extra-EU exports of table olives reached 320 829 tonnes for an estimated value of €868.1 million (+8.6% and +0% respectively compared to the previous crop year).
On the other hand, intra-EU exports reached 280 108 tonnes for an estimated value of €704.8 million (+1.9% and +4.4% respectively compared to the previous crop year).
In terms of volumes by product category, 86.2% of total imports were under code 20057000 (olives, prepared or preserved otherwise than by vinegar or acetic acid (excl. frozen)) in the 2020/2021 crop year, followed by imports under 20019065 with 5.4%, 07099210 with 3.4%, 07112010 with 4%, and the remaining 1% under 07108010.
