Olive oil protects health and environment
The olive orchard is a forest that has been well tended for more than 2.000 years. It is a very important part of a solution to climate change and it is a good a barrier against desertification. This very special forest of olive oil trees is a CO2 sink because removes CO2 from the atmosphere and fix it in the soil.
In the production of one litre of olive oil, olive trees remove 10kg of CO2 from the atmosphere. Olive oil is good for your health and for the environment.
