The Mario Solinas Quality Award is the most prestigious non-profit competition for the best extra virgin olive oils produced all over the world.
In the 23nd edition, 117 samples of extra virgin olive oils were entered into the Mario Solinas Quality Award. Hailing from 10 countries from all over the world, the samples were judged by an international panel made up of leaders of IOC-recognised panels.
The Mario Solinas competition started with the 2000/2001 crop year, after being approved by the Council of Members in 1993, contributing therefore to the improvement of the quality of extra virgin olive oil produced.
The aim of organising this competition is to encourage individual producers, producer associations and packers in the producing countries to market extra virgin olive oils displaying harmonious organoleptic characteristics and to encourage consumers to recognise and appreciate the sensory attributes of such oils.
Here are the results of the Mario Solinas Quality Award 2023. We hope to see you in the next editions!
